This Week in Tokyo – 4 June 2019

The latest edition of This Week in Tokyo – a review of the Maction Planet week that was and a look ahead to what’s coming up in and beyond the city. Check out photos from our tours and read insights into our explorations as we get under the skin of the World’s Greatest Metropolis, and beyond. This week’s edition, beginning a busy June for Maction Planet, is hosted by Mac, our Founder and Lead Guide. This week: Maction Planet Crocodile; Sunset over the rice paddies of Kanagawa; Koto and Guitar – together at last; Disney’s EASTER 2019 and Best friends in Gora!

Koto and Guitar – together at last: I enjoyed a lovely performance of  Koto and Guitar while waiting for the Bradfords to freshen up before our excellent Teppanyaki dinner. The lady on the left is rocking The Peninsula’s ‘Pageboy’ uniform, which we discussed in the 25 December 2018 edition of ‘This Week in Tokyo’.

 

Disney’s EASTER 2019: It is always fun picking up guests from the Disney Hotels, which I do frequently as Maction Planet is honoured to be the recommended Tokyo tour operator of TDR Explorer. This display as you enter the monorail station at Maihama is constantly changing and currently showcases Tokyo Disney’s EASTER 2019 period. Disney-loving Maction Planet guests know I am a huge fan of the Cheshire Cat so I was very happy to see him featured here!

And finally… Best friends in Gora: All the hard work, planning and execution is worth it when I see the smiles on my guests’ faces. I love this photo of me and my new best friend Ashlee Bradford hanging out in Gora Park in Hakone. So many adventures in our 4 days together, and we still have another 7 to go! We continue…
