Kanpai Planet x Sake Lovers x Iwate Meijo Online Sake Brewery Tour and Tasting

Kanpai Planet, the Japan-drinks focused arm of Maction Planet, is proud to announce a special online sake brewery tour and tasting with Iwate Meijo Brewery.

On 31 May, Kanpai Planet will be co-hosting their first event, a LIVE online sake brewery tour and tasting with Iwate Meijo Brewery, in conjunction with Sake Lovers Inc.

The Iwate Meijo Brewery in Maesawa, Iwate was established in 1858. Oikawa-san, the next brewery head, will lead us on tour through his brewery and production methods. Kyoko Nagano from Sake Lovers will be MCing the event and Mac of Kanpai Planet, a certified sake professional, will be there to answer all your background questions about sake in his signature edutaining style!

Participants can sign up for the tour only OR sign up for the tour and tasting options, in which you will receive 3 x 300ml bottles Iwate Meijo sake direct from Japan:

• Yume Fubuki (Junmai Ginjo)
• Iwate Homare (Tokubetsu Junmai)
• A brand new, as yet unreleased, sake!

If you are based in Japan, you’ll receive a fourth 330ml bottle of Iwate Meijo sake to enjoy!

After the tour and tasting ends, participants can separate into breakout rooms to continue enjoying the sake and chatting with their friends and fellow tour participants!

When: 31 May 2021, 20:00 JST (12:00 BST, 13:00 CEST, 19:00 HK/Singapore)
Price: Tour plus tasting: ￥11,900 (outside Japan), ￥5,500 (in Japan). Tour only: ￥2,900
Note: Tasting tickets must be booked by 14 May if you are based outside Japan. The sake order is fulfilled by Sake Lovers Inc. [Maction Planet is not a licensed alcohol distributor].

The tour is open to anyone, but to receive the sake depends on laws regarding alcohol distribution in your country of residence. Eligible countries/regions include UK, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia.

To sign up, email info@mactionplanet.com with whether you want to join the tour plus tasting (and your address if choosing this option), or the tour only option. After that, you’ll receive an invoice which can be settled via credit card or PayPal. Your sake will be shipped, and nearer the tour time you’ll receive a Zoom link for the event.
